The original websites, and the rest
The collective's two websites are preserved here as they were, with their iWeb pages, their image buttons and their typos: the hard-drive backup, and what the Wayback Machine had kept on top of it. A few personal email addresses and phone numbers were removed; everything else is intact. The archived pages are in French.
ledonjon.ca (December 2010)
"Le Donjon, grandeur nature!" Home, The Donjon, The Art Gallery, The energy campground, Sundari Festival 2011, New Year's Eve Party 2011, Lune Noire, The artists, The administrators, Members' journal. The hard-drive backup.
ledonjon.ca (2011–2013, Wayback Machine)
The pages the hard drive did not have: the February 2011 home page, Contacts, the Sundari 2011 programme, the shuttle, the September 2012 home page under the name "L'agora, de St-Fortunat", Cherry Island, Water Snake and the Tatanka 2013 festival with its photos.
Le Donjon, espace créatif (March 2010)
A single page, with the "Donjon Love" logo: the site's first trace on the web.
ag0ra.org (2013)
"Welcome to the Agora's new website!" Home, Who we are, Products (fresh or dried mushrooms, growing supplies, wild plants, vegetables), Activities, Past events, Contact us, and the English version.
The documents
- The June 2013 brochure (PDF, 1.2 MB, in French): "L'Agora, an enchanted forest… where time ceases to exist. A brand new agritourism business project."
- The founding texts, translated on the Mission page.
- The site rules and the line-ups, on the Events page.
What still exists elsewhere
- facebook.com/lAg0rA: L'AgorA's page, with its albums ("L'Ag0rA de A @ Z", "L'AgorA, from ground up", "What is l'AgorA (Archives 2011)", "Célébration du solstice d'hiver", "les champignons", "A2g0r1A2"), its past events and its 426 posts, from July 2010 to today.
- Earthdance St-Fortunat, the page of the 2012 to 2014 editions.
- The Facebook group "L'Agora" (766 members) and the group "Co-voiturage // Ride-share → AgorA" (248 members).
- The Agora's profile on rave.ca, "memories with photos".
- The domain ag0ra.org, registered on December 14, 2012, still the collective's. The domain ledonjon.ca, for its part, has been free for years.
- In the Wayback Machine: 56 captures of ledonjon.ca between March 7, 2010 and May 2, 2019, and 47 captures of ag0ra.org since August 18, 2013. The address ag0ra.dyndns.org, used for a time, was never captured.
What went into making this site
A folder of 2,659 files, 2.3 GB, kept on a hard drive: the backups of the two websites, the brochures and their source files, the plans, the Donjon's calendars, the posters, the photos from 2009 to 2014 (with their capture dates), four videos, the contracts and administrative documents (not published), the files submitted to the agricultural land protection commission and to the municipality (not published), and the maps of the land. Plus the Facebook page, re-read post by post to reconstruct the timeline. Plus the Wayback Machine's captures, for the versions of ledonjon.ca the hard drive did not have.
The quoted texts are reproduced as written, with their spelling; on the English pages, French originals are translated, and quotations that were originally in English are given as they were. People are named by first name or artist name, as they appeared publicly at the time; personal addresses, numbers and email addresses were removed. The owner of the land is not named.
